Registration for the Algona Rec. Department Summer Swim Team will be held on Today at Algona City Hall at 116 S. Thorington anytime between 3:30-5:30 PM. The annual Candy Bar Fundraiser will also begin.

Swim team is open to all kids age 6-18 years old that are able to swim across the pool unassisted. Practices are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday mornings at the Algona Aquatic Center and meets are held on Wednesday Evenings. Algona Swims in the AHEELA Swim Conference, which includes teams from Humboldt, Fort Dodge, Eagle Grove, Forest City, Emmetsburg, Webster City, Storm Lake, Fort Dodge, Rockwell City, Laurens and Cherokee.

-Registered Limited to 10 participants; Minimum of 4 Participants is required
-Prerequisite swim test:
-Swim 300 yards, Tread water 2 mins (legs only), Removal of a 10 pound object from 7-10 feet deep.

Fee: $130 for Members; $160 for Non-Members
