Street Work Near Courthouse Set for this Week

–Street work in front of the Kossuth County Courthouse that is scheduled to begin Thursday will make it necessary for workers and the public to park elsewhere. 

According to the Algona Public Works Department, the removal of the curb, gutter and sidewalk in front of the courthouse is scheduled to begin September 8^th, meaning State Street will be closed during the day from Thorington Street to Williams Street. 

No parking will be allowed on the street during this time, as the public is encouraged to find parking on Call Street or Thorington Street if they need to visit the courthouse.
