Kitzinger latest “1440 Award” Recipient

–The latest recipient of the “1440 Citizen of the Month” award is being recognized for years of service to the area, and her recent work assisting with the production of the “Silent Night in Algona” film.  

Donna Kitzinger has spent most of her adult life as a school teacher, and since her retirement, still spends time in the classroom as a substitute. Kitzinger was nominated for her recent volunteer work during the filming of “Silent Night in Algona”. Donna organized and served meals during the production, delivered props, made overnight arrangements and countless phone calls on behalf of the filmmakers. 

Kitzinger also spends time serving on the Board of Directors for the Don Tietz Charitable Foundation, she’s the director of the Community Concert Series and also founded the Friends of the Union Slough support group.
