–A Lone Rock woman was cited following a 1-vehicle rollover accident along County Road P30 over the weekend.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 60-year-old Tina Marie Ristau was traveling northbound in the 2400 Block of 90th Avenue (P30) just after 4:30 PM Saturday. Ristau told Deputies that she hit a patch of ice in the roadway, causing her to lose control of the 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup truck she was driving.

Ristau’s truck entered the west ditch, where it rolled several times before finally coming to rest in a field beyond the ditch. As a result of the rollover, the truck collided with a utility pole owned by Midland Power Cooperative.

Ristau had to be extricated from the vehicle by mechanical means, and she was taken by Algona EMS to Kossuth Regional Health Center with suspected minor injuries.

Ristau was cited for driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain control, failure to use a safety belt and failure to provide proof of financial liability. Damage to the truck was estimated at $5,000, while damage to the utility pole was estimated at $1,500.
