Search Warrant Leads to Multiple Charges Against Whittemore Man

–Arrest warrants have been issued for a Whittemore man after Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at his residence earlier this week.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies executed the search warrant at 302 210th Street near Whittemore on Monday. During the search, Deputies seized numerous items known to be associated with illegal drug use, including cash, marijuana and firearms.

As a result of the search, the following charges were issued against 28-year-old Dakota Mullen:

Possession of a Firearm as a Convicted Felon (Class D Felony)

Possession of a Controlled Substance-2nd or more offense (Class D Felony)

Possession w/Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance (Class D Felony)

Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp (Class D Felony)

Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs (Serious Misdemeanor)

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor)

Child Endangerment (Class D Felony)

The child endangerment charge is due to minor children living at the residence where illegal drug activity is present. Arrest warrants have been issued for Mullen, as he was not at the residence when the search was conducted.
