–The City of Algona is one of six finalists for the Healthy Hometown Community Award, part of the Healthiest State Initiative sponsored by Wellmark. City Communications Director Joanne Roepke Bode spoke with KLGA News about the designation.

In their application for the award, the city highlighted some recent efforts to increase activity amongst area residents.

The awards will be announced on April 20th as part of the 2023 Workplace Wellbeing Conference in Ankeny.
