–The Algona Area Young Professionals group will be hosting a networking event next week to try and bring people together in a unique environment. City of Algona Communications Director Joanne Roepke Bode tells KLGA News the “Speed Networking” event will be held on Wednesday, April 19th.
Roepke Bode says the format for the “Speed Networking” event is somewhat similar to “Speed Dating”.
The Young Professionals Group has hosted a handful of events since forming late last year, and Roepke Bode they have had good participation thus far.
While they are called the Young Professionals, Roepke Bode says there are no age limits associated with the group. The “Speed Networking” event will be held on Wednesday, April 19th at the Train Wreck Winery in Algona. Registration begins at 5:30 PM, with the event running from 6-7:30 PM.
