–The Algona School Board approved a contract with Taher, Inc to manage the district’s food service for the upcoming school year during their meeting Monday. Superintendent Joe Carter tells KLGA News how they came to select Taher.

Carter says Taher can provide multiple options for students each day.

Carter says a handful of schools around the area already use Taher to provide their student meals.

Carter says the price of meals will stay the same for each building next year. All of the district’s food service employees will have the option to stay on with Taher as employees of the district. Anybody who is hired to work in the food service area beginning next year, will be an employee of Taher.
