Iowa’s weather for June proved to be on the quiet side however state climatologist Justin Glisan said there was a derecho in the southeast part of the state to end the month.

June is known for outbreaks of tornadoes in Iowa but Glisan said there was only funnel cloud reported for the month of June.

Glisan said that July in Iowa could be a cool and wet one.

High temperatures are forecasted to be in the lower to mid 70’s through the weekend.
