–The Kossuth County Fair officially kicked off Tuesday night with the annual Fair Parade and Queen Pageant. Dozens of girls from all over the county, anywhere from preschoolers to recent high school graduates, competed for the titles of Little Princess, Little Miss, Princess, Junior Miss and Queen. 2022 Fair Queen Molly Bormann announced the winners, including the young woman who will be her successor.
Meyer is a 2023 graduate of North Union High School, and she spoke with KLGA News following the announcement.
Being a part of the fair royalty isn’t a new experience for Meyer, as she was selected Junior Miss in 2021.
Meyer, along with the rest of the royalty, will be busy handing out awards and attending events throughout the remainder of the fair.
Meyer will also represent Kossuth County at the Iowa State Fair, which begins on August 10th.
The rest of the fair royalty was also announced Tuesday night, including the Princess.
The Little Miss.
The Little Princess.
And the Jr. Miss.
Each of the winners will be back next year to crown their replacements.
