Bishop Garrigan’s Heying Named to All-State Super Team

–Bishop Garrigan catcher Garrett Heying has some new accolades to his name after the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association announced their all-state teams yesterday.  Heying was selected as one of the catchers on the 2023 All-State Super Team, which takes the best players from all four classifications in the state of Iowa into account. 

Heying posted the best numbers of his career this past season at Bishop Garrigan, batting .531 with 6 home runs and 43 runs driven in, adding a .670 on base percentage and .963 slugging percentage in 31 games.  Heying plans to continue his baseball career next season at Viterbo University.
