–Congressman Randy Feenstra made a stop in Algona Thursday morning, meeting with area business leaders. Feenstra spoke with KLGA News following his visit at the Algona Fareway store.
Feenstra says Congress is working to support all levels of the food chain in the new farm bill.
Feenstra says talks on the new farm bill will heat up once Congress returns to session in early September.
Feenstra has been meeting with constituents around the district in recent weeks, but he was uncertain about making it to the Kossuth County Fair Thursday.
Feenstra, a Republican from Hull, is currently serving his 2nd term representing Iowa’s 4th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives.
