–Students will be headed back to classes this week, and the Algona Community School District wants to make sure everyone knows where and when busses will be arriving.

In Algona, there are eight spots where students will be picked up before school and dropped off afterwards. Pickup time will be at 7:38 AM each day at the following locations: Bishop Garrigan (stop sign on McCoy), Bertha Godfrey Elementary (Main Street Stop sign), Bear Care/Seaton (Lucas Street entrance), Bryant Elementary (West Side of building), Lucia Wallace (Main Entrance), former OB Laing Building (East side of building), Aquatic Center (Main Entrance) and the YMCA (main entrance).

Students will be dropped off at each location around 3:50 PM each day, excluding the Garrigan location, which will be around 3:55 PM.

Out of town, students will be picked up in Burt, Corwith, St. Joe, Fenton, LuVerne, Wesley, Whittemore, and Titonka.

–In Burt, students will be picked up in the parking lot of the old school building each morning at 7:05 and dropped off between 4-4:20 PM.

–In Corwith, students will be picked up around 7:10AM in front of the library, and dropped off around 4:10PM.

–Students will be picked up at the church in St. Joe each day at 6:55 AM and dropped off around 4:25 PM.

–In Fenton, students will be picked up at 7:15 AM on the east side of the library and dropped off around 4:25 PM.

–The Whittemore location is the community center, with students picked up on the north side of the building at 7:15 AM and dropped off between 4:05-4:15 PM

Titonka students will be picked up on the south side of the grocery store at 7 AM and dropped off between 4:15-4:30 PM.

There are also times at each location in the middle of the day for afternoon preschool students.

Students in grades K-4 will all be given a buss pass that will be scanned every time they get on and off a bus, while students in grades 5-12 will use their student id’s.
