Algona Man Facing Charges of Assault, Violating NCO

–An Algona man was taken into custody on multiple charges Wednesday night after allegedly violating a no contact order.

According to the Algona Police Department, Officers responded to a call for assistance around 8:45 PM Wednesday, and after a brief investigation arrested 34-year-old Kyle Phillip Tangman.

Tangman is facing charges of Domestic Abuse Assault-2nd offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor, 5th Degree Criminal Mischief, and 2 counts of violating a no contact order. He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance.

Tangman is scheduled to have a non-jury trial in September on 2 of the charges, and one in October as well.

Tangman was arrested back in April on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, at which time a no contact order was put in place.
