–The Algona YMCA is hosting a fundraising event Saturday evening at the Kossuth County Fairgrounds that will feature a meal and live music. YMCA Membership and Marketing Director Julie Herbst-Ulmer recently spoke with KLGA about the “September Shindig”.
Following the meal, Herbst-Ulmer says they have a pair of local bands that will be performing, with Midland Vibe taking the stage first.
Midland Vibe will take the stage around 6:30 PM, and Herbst-Ulmer says they will be followed by Hip Liberty.
The BBQ meal begins at 5PM at the Kossuth County Fairgrounds, with the live entertainment to follow. All funds raised will go towards paying down the debt at the Algona Family YMCA.
