–A Mason City man was taken into custody last week by law enforcement agencies from 3 states after a series of burglaries with similar descriptions were reported.

Kossuth County Sheriff Roger Fisher tells KLGA News that his agency received a report of a burglary at the Gold Eagle Coop in Titonka in early August. As a part of the investigation, Deputies obtained surveillance footage and then shared that with other law enforcement agencies to see if they had any information on the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.

Fisher says his office was contacted by Deputies in Otoe County, Nebraska after similar burglaries occurred at the Frontier Coop and a restaurant in the town of Syracuse. Surveillance footage from Nebraska showed the same suspects and vehicle that had been caught on camera in Titonka.

After gathering more information from other law enforcement agencies, Deputies in Kossuth County were able to write out a search warrant for a residence in Mason City. Law Enforcement officers from Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota served that warrant on Tuesday, September 5th and arrested 33-year-old Shawn Edward Boger.

He’s facing a pair of felony charges in Kossuth County, including 3rd Degree Burglary and Ongoing Criminal Conduct, to go along with charges in Nebraska. Boger is being held in Iowa and will face extradition to Nebraska at a later date.
