Algona 53, Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley 20
–Algona used 2 interceptions and a blocked punt to build a 27-0 lead in the 1st half, and rolled past Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley 53-20 Friday night in Rock Valley. The Bulldogs amassed over 450 yards of total offense on the night, in a game that was delayed for nearly an hour by lightning. Alex Manske threw 4 touchdown passes, 2 of them to Tate Slagle. Slagle had 2 INT’s, and returned on for a TD. Algona (3-1) will have their Homecoming contest with Charles City Friday.
Bishop Garrigan 59, Northwood-Kensett 22
–Bishop Garrigan built a 41-0 lead at halftime, and never looked back in a 59-22 win Friday night in their Homecoming contest. The Golden Bears (3-1) will be back on the road this week when they travel to Rockford.
West Bend-Mallard 58, GT/RA 18
–West Bend-Mallard pounded out nearly 350 yards on the ground, as the Wolverines rolled past GT/RA 58-18 Friday night. Landon Montag ran for 151 yards and 2 scores, while throwing for 1 more. The Wolverines host Harris-Lake Park Friday for Homecoming.
