–The Algona Rotary Club is teaming up with Kossuth County Conservation to present the Jack O’ Lantern Lane Sunday evening at Smith Lake. Kossuth County Naturalist Billie Willie tells KLGA News the family-friendly event is broken down into two separate parts.
Once all the pumpkins are carved, they are placed along the road through the campground to light the way.
Willie says they have everything you would need to carve a pumpkin.
The pumpkin carving, which is completely free, will be held from 1-4 PM Sunday at the Kossuth Conservation maintenance shed, located on the southeast side of Smith Lake. The Jack O’ Lantern Lane will run from 7-8:30 PM Sunday, with cars traveling through the campground for just $5. If you have any questions, contact Kossuth County Conservation by calling 515-295-2138.
