–Moving Veteran’s Forward of North Central Iowa has seen great results from a pair of fundraisers for their warehouse project this week prior to Veteran’s Day. John Emswiler is leading to efforts to renovate their facility south of the Kossuth County Fairgrounds, and he says the effort this week started with a Chili Cook-Off Thursday night.

Emswiler says the event went well, even though he didn’t agree with the judge’s decision.

On Friday, Emswiler was joined by local Veterans at the KLGA/KLGZ studios for a telethon fundraiser, which got off to a quick start.

Moving Veteran’s Forward provides furniture and other large home items for homeless veterans as they find housing. Currently, Emswiler stores all their donated items in the building just south of the racetrack on the Kossuth County Fairgrounds, which is in a state of disrepair. The fundraising efforts would fund the construction of a new facility that is weather resistant and has plenty of room for the donated items earmarked for veterans in need. If you have questions, or would like to make a contribution, you can contact Emswiler by calling 712-269-9700.
