–The Algona Police Department welcomed a new patrol officer to the department earlier this month. Police Chief Bo Miller introduced Jason Broad as the latest member of the Algona PD during the most recent Algona City Council meeting. Broad took a moment to address the council as well.
Broad achieved the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps before moving to Iowa. Along with his military work, Broad is also a trained Emergency Medical Technician.
