Estherville Pair Arrested Following Early Morning Traffic Stop

–A traffic stop in Palo Alto County earlier this week resulted in the arrest of an Estherville pair earlier this week.

According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in Graettinger just before 2 AM Tuesday. After conducting a brief investigation, Deputies arrested the driver, identified as 52-year-old Daniel West of Estherville. West was charged with Driving while Barred, an aggravated misdemeanor, as well as Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Failure to Obey a Stop Sign and Speeding, all simple misdemeanors.

Deputies also arrested a passenger in the vehicle, identified as 36-year-old Nicole Wille of Estherville, on a pair of valid arrest warrants out of Emmet County. Both of the warrants were issued after Wille failed to appear at court hearings on original charges of Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations and 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief.

West was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance, while Wille was transferred to the custody of the Emmet County Sheriff’s Department.
