–A Bancroft woman is facing a theft charge following an investigation into missing money from the North Union Sports Booster Club.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies took a report from the North Union Sports Booster Club on November 10th regarding money that had allegedly been stolen from concession stand receipts from the summer baseball season between May and July of 2023. The complaint alleged the person responsible for the summer concession stand proceeds had failed to provide records of deposits that were estimated to be around $5,820.

As a result of this investigation, Deputies arrested 41-year-old Erin Fraker Thursday morning, December 28th, on a charge of 2nd Degree Theft, a Class D Felony. Fraker was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance.

The North Union Sports Booster Club is a parent operated entity that supports athletic programs with its own Board of Directors and is not under the authority of the North Union Community School District.

The Bancroft Police Department assisted the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
