Humboldt Man Facing Theft Charges

–A Humboldt man is facing a felony charge and a handful of misdemeanors after being taken into custody in the rural Algona area Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to a request for assistance near Algona around 4:45 PM Tuesday, and after conducting a brief investigation, arrested 52-year-old Troy Andrew Johnson of Humboldt.

Johnson is facing charges of 3^rd Degree Burglary (Class D Felony), 4^th Degree Theft (Serious Misdemeanor) and Trespassing. He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance.

Online court records show that Johnson is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on Friday, January 19^th.
