Multiple Teens Charged Following Fight in Ruthven

–A Palo Alto County teenager is facing a pair of felony charges following the report of a disturbance in Ruthven earlier this month.

According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to the report of a disturbance in Ruthven just after 11:45 PM on Friday, January 12th. Upon arrival, Deputies cited 18-year Hunter Collins of Spencer, 18-year-old Ryan Schomaker of Spencer, 19-year-old Jaydon Teepe of Ruthven, and a 17-year-old juvenile for Disorderly Conduct-Violent Behavior.

As he was being taken into custody the 17-year-old juvenile allegedly resisted arrest and injured two Deputies, resulting in additional charges. The juvenile has been charged with Assault Causing Serious Injury, a Class D Felony as well as Interference with Official Acts Inflicting Serious Injury, a Class D Felony.

Those charged were booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
