Traffic Stop Results in Drug Charges Against Algona Man

–An Algona man is facing drug related charges following a traffic stop in northern Kossuth County late last week.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the rural Swea City area around 7:20 PM on Friday (March 1st). Following a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 38-year-old Tyler James Adcock of Algona.

Adcock is facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance-3rd offense, a Class D Felony, along with Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs (Serious Misdemeanor), Possession of Marijuana-3rd Offense (Aggravated Misdemeanor), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor).

Adcock was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Online court records show he is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on March 22nd in Kossuth County District Court.
