–Warm and dry conditions have led a pair of area counties to request burn bans from the State Fire Marshall’s office.
Emergency Management officials in Palo Alto County filed a request with the state on Monday to implement a burn ban there, while Emmet County enacted a burn ban today.
There are currently 22 counties that have burn bans in place, while 12 more have recently lifted bans that had been in effect.
