–Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host an informational meeting for area farmers Thursday in Emmetsburg to discuss options for those impacted by delayed planting. Gentry Sorenson serves as a field agronomist for ISU Extension, and he spoke with KLGA News about the topics they will cover for those in attendance.

Sorenson says they will also have a couple of guest speakers to provide more information on a variety of subjects.

Sorenson says it has been so dry over the last few years, the meeting should serve as a nice refresher for farmers considering their options.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 AM Thursday inside the Multipurpose Center in downtown Emmetsburg. The event is completely free, and no preregistration is required to attend. If you have any questions, you can contact the ISU Extension office in Palo Alto County by calling 712-852-2865.
