–A Minnesota man was cited after the semi he was driving left the roadway in rural Kossuth County last week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Adam Charles Lund of Fairmont, Minnesota was traveling westbound on US Highway 18 in a 2020 Kenworth Semi near Wesley around 2:45 AM on Wednesday (6/5). The accident report states that Lund fell asleep behind the wheel and drifted off the highway.
After leaving the road, Lund’s semi entered the north ditch and eventually came to a stop in a cornfield. He did not report any injuries following the crash, however Lund was cited for failure to maintain control.
Damage to the semi was estimated at $75,000.
