–Kossuth Regional Health Center has received honors for several areas of service over the last few weeks. KRHC CEO Dar Elbert says each area of recognition speaks to the quality of healthcare providers at the facility.

KRHC is being recognized as a Top Hospital for Nurse Communication using data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems.

Kossuth Regional also made the list of Top Hospitals for both Patient Experience and Top Recommended from Becker’s Hospital Review. Elbert says Becker’s Review is a top publication when it comes to reviewing healthcare providers and facilities across the country.

Much of the data that is used to rank these award recipients comes from patient surveys. Elbert says that shows the staff at KRHC are meeting their patient’s needs, which is even more important in a rural area like Kossuth County.

KRHC is one of 17 hospitals in Iowa to be named on the Most Recommended list and one of 13 to be included in the Top Patient Experience category. You can see a full list of hospitals across the country who also received recognition at www.beckershospitalreview.com.
