–Public Safety officials from all around the area were at the Kossuth County Fairgrounds Thursday for the annual Public Safety Night Out. Area residents were able to get an up close and personal look at the equipment emergency workers use on a daily basis to assist the public. Everything from car seats to drones were on display, even a life flight helicopter dropped in on the event. Algona Mayor Rick Murphy took time to thank the men and women who work everyday to keep area residents safe and in good health.

Murphy also took time to remember fallen Algona Police Officer Kevin Cram.

Area churches, healthcare providers and community organizations were also on hand to provide information about their efforts to assist area residents when needed.
