–After a one-year hiatus, the Algona Community Thanksgiving meal is back once again, as some area residents have stepped up to revive the longtime tradition. Amanda Weig operates AK’s Chrome Kitchen with her husband Corey, and she tells KLGA News it made sense for them to try and take over the project.

The meal is completely free of charge and will be served from 11 AM-1 PM on Thursday. The weather forecast calls for high temperatures in the upper 20’s on Thanksgiving Day. Weig says you won’t need to get out of your vehicle to grab a holiday meal.

Weig says they have a handful of volunteers ready to assist them and keep the line moving.

All deliveries will be made as soon as possible beginning at 11 AM.

You can call 515-295-9174 to arrange a delivery. The drive through will be held outside of AK’s Chrome Kitchen, on the south end of the Bomgaars parking lot, in between McDonald’s and Pizza Ranch in Algona.
