–A Webster City man was killed in a two-vehicle crash east of Algona Monday evening.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 51-year-old Andres Garcia Exposito was traveling westbound along County Road B40 in a 2009 Ford Edge just after 7 PM. The accident report states that Exposito crossed the centerline in the 1700 Block of B40 and was hit head-on by a 2021 Freightliner Semi, driven by 46-year-old Daniel Eugene Murray, also of Webster City.
Exposito was pronounced dead at the scene, while Murray was transported to Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. The report states that both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
