–Algona’s annual Frostbite Olympics are less than two weeks away and organizers say things are shaping up for an outstanding 3 days of festivities. Amy Whitacre with the Algona Chamber of Commerce tells KLGA News the festivities will kickoff on Thursday, January 30th with the Soup Cook Off at the Algona VFW.
The cold temperatures across Northern Iowa lately have made many people uncomfortable, it does make things easier to host an ice fishing contest.
