–The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors continued discussions about a proposed animal ordinance for unincorporated areas during their meeting Tuesday morning. Sheriff Roger Fisher says that while this discussion started as a way to aid law enforcement when they receive complaints about dogs running loose, it really should apply to any animal.
As part of the ordinance, Fisher says they would like to set up a better communication network so they can contact owners when an animal gets loose.
The board directed the Sheriff to collaborate with the County Attorney to put language together for an ordinance that they could look at in two weeks.
