–The Algona School Board got an update on education related legislation being discussed down in Des Moines during their meeting on Monday. Superintendent Joe Carter says they are keeping their eyes on a couple of different bills in both the House and Senate.
Carter says another bill of particular interest is one that nearly passed the legislature in 2024.
While the State Supplemental Aid will have to get passed on way or the other, Carter hinted that many of the education related bills that are being discussed at this time will not make it all the way to the Governor’s desk.
