The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors received an update on the progress of Summit Carbon Solutions proposed pipeline project. Prior to this update, an attendee at the meeting was curious as to where some of the information provided to the county came from and if they were guaranteed amounts.
Kaylee Langrell is a representative of Summit. Langrell responded to this concern and noted that Summit did the estimates themselves.
Langrell noted that Summit is at 75% of their target goal of all landowners signing off on the project across all states Summit is working with. Another attendee brought up eminent domain, wondering if Summit would use this to their advantage if the remaining landowners failed to accept a deal with Summit.
The Board of Supervisors will hear updates in the coming weeks on this project.
