–If you or a loved one has received extraordinary care at Kossuth Regional Health Center, you can now nominate one of those worker for some special recognition.

Nurses can be nominated for the DAISY Award, which recognizes the extraordinary, compassionate care that is provided by nurses to patients and their families every day.

The award is handed out by the DAISY Foundation, a non-profit organization established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes by members of his family as a way to thank his caregivers.

Along with the DAISY award, there is also a way to recognize non-nursing staff members who also go above and beyond while providing services to patients and their families. The BEE award celebrates staff members from all non-nurse or non-physician disciplines who personally deliver a remarkable patient experience.

Patients, families, colleagues and community members can submit nominations for the DAISY or BEE awards by going online to www.krhc.com or by filling out nomination forms available in the KRHC lobby. Nominees and the award recipients will be recognized in May during National Hospital Week.
