–A Cylinder man was taken into custody earlier this week on multiple outstanding warrants following a traffic stop in rural Emmet County.
According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted a traffic stop just after 7:45 PM Tuesday near the intersection of 450th Avenue and 245th Street, about 3 miles northeast of Graettinger.
As a result of the stop, Deputies arrested 41-year-old Nicholas James Gappa of Cylinder on warrants for: Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon (Class C Felony), Domestic Abuse Assault Impeding Blood/Air Flow (Aggravated Misdemeanor), and False Imprisonment (Serious Misdemeanor).
Online court records show a criminal complaint was filed on Monday, March 10th following an alleged incident a day earlier. Deputies also added charges of Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle and Littering, both Simple Misdemeanors.
Gappa was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
