North Union CSD will be closed on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. This will be a Virtual Learning Day.
North Iowa Community Schools will be closed on Wednesday, March 19.
The Emmetsburg CSD will be closed on Wednesday, March 19.
West Hancock CSD will be closed on Wednesday, March 19.
Church Announcements
Divine Mercy Parish masses for Wednesday, March 19, at St. Joseph’s in Wesley at 8:30am and the 5:30pm mass at St. John’s the Baptist in Bancroft are canceled. Parish offices and the adoration chapel are closed all day Wednesday. All Wednesday evening activities and masses are canceled. Thursday, March 20, 5:30pm mass at St. Peter & Paul is canceled.
First Presbyterian Church Algona office will be closed on Wednesday, March 19, and all Wednesday evening activities including FROGs, Fellowship meal, and WOW service are cancelled.
The Algona First United Methodist Church has cancelled all activities for Wednesday, March 19.
Immanuel Lutheran in Titonka ,7pm Wednesday Lenten Service on March 19 is cancelled.

West Bend Community Cares Food Pantry will not be open Wednesday due

Active Seniors Center in Algona will be closed on Wednesday, March 19. No meals on wheels, congregate meals or activities. The program is postponed to April 3rd.

Snow Emergencies
City of Whittemore has declared a Snow Emergency effective 6:00 am Wednesday, March 19 thru 12:00 Noon on Thursday, March 20.
City of West Bend snow ordinance will go into effect starting Wednesday the 19th at 5AM until Thursday the 20th at Noon.
City of Wesley snow ordinance will be in effect from Wednesday, March 19 at 12 AM until Thursday, March 20 at Noon.
City of Bancroft snow ordinance in effect Wednesday, March 19 at 12AM until Thursday, March 20 at noon.
City of Burt snow ordinance will be in effect from Wednesday, March 19 at 6am until Thrsday, March 20 at 3pm.
City of Algona has issued a snow emergency effective at 7am on Wednesday, March 19 through Noon on Friday, March 21. Municipal Parking lots shall park on Side A Wednesday from 7pm to 7am Thursday and Side B on Thursday from 7pm to 7am on Friday.
