–The Algona School Board officially approved the district’s budget for the 2025-2026 school year during their meeting this week. Superintendent Joe Carter presented the budget to the board prior to their approval.
Carter went on to explain the different levy rates inside the district.
Carter also says that the district’s total expenditures for the district in the coming year are back more in line with where they typically have been in previous years.
The approved budget includes a 3.1% pay increase for the district’s teachers.
