–A pair of Minnesota men were taken into custody Wednesday evening after law enforcement agencies from across the area responded to the report of a burglary in progress at a rural Ringsted residence.

According to the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies received a 911 call just before 3:45 PM Wednesday reporting a burglary in progress at 2545 490th Avenue, about 5 miles west of Ringsted. The caller advised law enforcement that 2 male suspects wearing masks over their faces were on his property. When the suspects saw the property owner, they attempted to hide but never left the property.

The Multi Agency Response Team (MART) was called to the scene to assist Emmet County authorities, deploying drones and utilizing K9 officers to try and locate the suspects. Eventually, a K9 Officer located the suspects hiding in a large pile of appliances around 7:45 PM.

The suspects, identified as Jory William Embacher and Brenson Scott, both of New Ulm, Minnesota, were arrested on charges of 3rd Degree Burglary, a Class D Felony, and Possession of Burglary tools, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. Authorities say more charges may be filed as the investigation is ongoing.

Both Embacher and Scott were booked into the Emmet County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Law Enforcement and Emergency Management officials from Kossuth and Palo Alto County assisted at the scene as well as officials from Martin County, Minnesota.
