–Area residents will have the chance to provide their thoughts on Algona’s energy future during a community engagement meeting Thursday night. Algona Municipal Utilities General Manager John Bilsten tells KLGA News they have been working with the Iowa State University Master of Community and Regional Planning Studio to put this meeting together.
Bilsten says they are really interested in getting feedback from the public when it comes to solar energy.
Along with the community meeting, AMU is working with Iowa State University to conduct a survey to get feedback on current energy sources and future energy planning needs and priorities.
The community engagement meeting will run from 5-7 PM Thursday at Algona City Hall.
