–The Algona Community School District will be participating in the USDA’s Summer Food Service program during the month of June. Jill Nelson serves as the Food Service Program Director for the Algona District, and she tells KLGA News the meals will be available to pick up for children under the age of 18 beginning Monday, June 2nd at the Bryant Elementary building.
The meals will be available from June 2nd through June 26th. Nelson says they have had good participation in the Summer Food Service Program over the last few years.
