–The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors approved a detour agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for work on Iowa Highway 15 near Whittemore during their meeting this week. Kossuth County Engineer Doug Miller addressed the board and told them the agreement was the same one they approved a couple of years ago when the DOT thought they would get to the project.
The detour agreement will see north and southbound traffic on Iowa Highway 15 detoured through Whittemore.
The project will replace the railroad crossing on HWY 15 just west of Whittemore, closing the road to through traffic.
