–The USDA’s Summer Food Service Program is now underway as children aged 18 and under can receive free meals during the week.
The Algona Community School District is participating during the month of June using the Bryant Elementary building as a pickup spot. Grab and Go meals will be available Monday-Thursday each week in June from 7:30-8:15 AM. There will be a second pick up time on Thursdays, when a 3-day meal pack will be handed out for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That pick up will run from 11AM-12:15 PM on Thursday’s only.
The North Union School District has two pick-up sites, one in Swea City and one in Armstrong.
The Swea City location will be at the North Union Elementary/Middle School building, offering grab and go meals Monday-Thursday in June from 11AM-12PM.
The Armstrong location will be at the North Union High School and will be providing grab and go meals Monday-Thursday each week in June from 11:15AM-12PM.
