–A Lakota man is facing assault charges following an alleged domestic incident Sunday evening.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to residence in Lakota just before 8 PM Sunday following a call for assistance. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted a brief investigation and arrested 37-year-old Joshua Allen McFadden on a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury or Mental Illness, a Serious Misdemeanor.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court on Monday alleges that McFadden threw a cell phone in the direction of a child, striking the child in the face.
He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Court records show that McFadden is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on June 30th.
A No Contact Order has also been issued to prevent McFadden from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
