–An arrest has been made in connection with a stabbing early Sunday morning at a motel in Emmetsburg.
According to the Emmetsburg Police Department, Officers responded to the Super 8 Motel just before 3AM Sunday after a reported stabbing had taken place. Upon arrival, Officers found a 53-year-old male victim who was taken by EMS personnel to the Palo Alto County Hospital and eventually to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, where he is listed in stable condition.
An investigation into the incident resulted in the arrest of 41-year-old Juan Carlos Montana, who is being charged with Attempted Murder, a Class B Felony.
Montana was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
Emmetsburg Police were assisted by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Department at Palo Alto County EMS.
