–The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors extended a moratorium on large scale solar projects during their meeting this week. Chairman Carter Nath shared the language in the amended ordinance prior to the board’s vote.

After holding a public hearing on the extension, the board approved the first reading of the extended ordinance and then waived the 2nd and 3rd readings as well. The board had implemented a 9-month moratorium in September of 2024 that was set to expire at the end of June.
