–An Algona man is facing drug and weapons charges after being take into custody this week in connection to alleged incidents from last month.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted a warrant check just after 5:30 PM Monday and located 70-year-old Dale Eugene Roney.
Court records show a criminal complaint was filed in Kossuth County District Court on June 26th charging Roney with Control of a Firearm by a Felon, a Class D Felony, as well as Possession of Methamphetamine-1st offense, a Serious Misdemeanor. The firearm charge stems from an alleged incident on June 19th, while the drug charge dates back to June 9th.
Roney was booked into the Kossuth County Jail before posting bond this week. He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on July 21st.
