–A Northwest Iowa man was seriously injured over the July 4th holiday weekend when his motorcycle left the road near Cylinder.
According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies received the report of an accident in the 5200 block of US Highway 18 around 9 PM on Friday, July 4th. The preliminary investigation shows that 58-year-old Scott Nasers of Sibley was eastbound on a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle, when he failed to negotiate the curve near Cylinder. The motorcycle entered the median north of Highway 18, rolled, and ejected Nasers
Nasers was treated at the scene by Palo Alto County EMS before being transported by Air Med Helicopter to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines with life-threatening injuries.
The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Emmetsburg Police Department, Cylinder Fire Department and Palo Alto County EMS.
